Drury in road test at UMSL
The Drury Lady Panthers face their final road test of the regular season when they travel to Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday for a 5:30 pm tipoff.
Â
Drury is 19-6, 15-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and has won three straight after winning at Southwest Baptist on Saturday, 88-63, in their last game. The Tritons are 19-7, 13-6 in the GLVC, and in fourth place in the league standings. UMSL lost at Truman State on Saturday in their last game, 67-59.
Â
Thursday's game is the first meeting between the two teams this season. Drury leads the all-time series 37-3 and won the lone game played between the two last year, 89-68, on Feb. 15, 2024, at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Â
The Lady Panthers conclude the regular season on Saturday when they host Missouri S&T for a 1 pm game at the O'.
Â
Chasing 20 W's
Drury needs one more win to get to 20 victories this season. Drury is aiming for their 22nd 20-win season during their 25th year of intercollegiate competition. Should the Lady Panthers reach 20 wins this year, it would mark the 12th season in a row that Drury has hit the 20-victory mark.
Â
Season Marks
Two Drury players are climbing the program's single-season charts.
Â
Caitlynn Daniels has 165 assists this year, the fifth most in a single season at Drury. She is just two assists shy of fourth (Ja'Nell Jones with 167 in 2010) and is six away from third (Daniels again with 171 last year).
Â
Makaiya Brooks has 67 three-pointers, the 13th most in a Drury single season. She is three away from Alice Heinzler's total of 70 in 2016 for 12th on the single-season chart.
Â
