JOPLIN, Mo. – Drury took their second game of the season against Missouri Southern, 7-4, on Wednesday behind three home runs.
The Lions crossed the plate first in the second inning with a two-RBI single from Brayden Luikart.
Three days after Drury's offense scored 15 runs, the Panthers were unable to get any runners on base in the first three innings of today's game.
The former Lion,
Wyatt Morgan, got the first run for Drury with a lead-off homer in the fourth inning.
Gabe Russell also recorded an RBI in the inning to tie the game at two.
Landon Willbrand would take the lead in the fourth inning with a solo home run, his third of the season.

Luke Matschiner and
Jackson Crider scored on the home run after a Matschiner walk and Crider single.
Willbrand would add another RBI in the eighth inning to move the Drury advantage to five. The Lions would add two in the bottom of the ninth, but
Nick Panagos struck out the final batter to secure the 7-4 win.
Zach McKinnis,
Luc Fuller, and
Joey Funk came out of the bullpen and did not allow Missouri Southern a run. McKinnis was credited with the win and moved to 1-1.
Luke Matschiner led the offense going 2-3 with two walks and two runs scored. Russell drove in four runs.
The Panthers will travel to Kansas City on Friday to open a four-game set against Rockhurst.
