Drury host Pitt State for Tuesday evening showing
Pittsburg State travels to Springfield for a Tuesday evening game against Drury at Mark Worley Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Drury is entering the game winning 13 out of their last 17 games. Last weekend, the Panthers split a four-game set against Quincy. In that series, Drury averaged 7.5 runs per game. Both the games that the Panthers won were comeback wins. In game one, Drury trailed by five entering the eighth inning, before scoring two in the eighth and five in the ninth to steal game one. In the third game of the series, Drury trailed by five, once again, entering the seventh inning and scoring six to win, 8-7. The game one win was courtesy of Jackson Crider who had two homers and four RBIs. Luke Matschiner won game three for Drury with a seventh-inning home run to cap the comeback. Drury is expected to start Nick Panagos on the bump against Pitt State. This would be Panagos' first career start. This season he is 1-0 with seven appearances out of the pen.

Pittsburgh State is riding a four-game winning streak entering play on Tuesday, with a win over Missouri Southern and a three-game sweep of Northeastern State, teams that Drury is 6-1 against this season. The Gorillas have won the last four match ups against the Panthers, the last win for Drury was on March 12, 2013. PSU is led by Rickey Sanchez, Lamar transfer. Sanchez this season is hitting .396 with an OPS of 1.111. The Gorillas will most likely run out Brady Pacha to pitch. Pacha has started two games this season and appeared eight times out of the bullpen. His last start was last week in midweek against Missouri Southern, where he went five innings allowing four hits and two runs. On the season, Pacha is 4-1 in 23.2 innings pitched with a save.

Following this weekend, the Panthers will host Missouri-St. Louis in a four-game series in Springfield.
