Panthers open GLVC Tournament vs. Indianapolis
Drury opens the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with a 9 am game vs. Indianapolis on Wednesday at Mt. Dew Park in Marion, Illinois.
 
The Panthers are seeded fourth with a 31-21 record and a 21-11 mark in the GLVC. Drury enters the postseason having won six straight and 10 of their last 12. The Greyhounds are seeded fifth and are 29-20 with a 20-11 league record.
 
The winner of the Drury-UIndy game will advance to Game 8 of the tournament and will play the winner of regular season champion Lewis and eighth-seeded Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday at 7:30 pm. The loser of those two games will play in Game 6 on Thursday at 12:30 pm.
 
Drury and Indianapolis played one another in a four-game series April 17-18 in Indianapolis and the Panthers won three of the four games. The Panthers are 14-10 all-time against the Greyhounds. The two teams did not meet in 2024. Six games in the all-time series have been in the GLVC Tournament and Drury is 4-2 against UIndy in the league's postseason.
 
The Panthers have won the GLVC Tournament three times. Drury won back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015 and they won the league title in their inaugural season of 2007. Last season, the Panthers went 1-2 in the league tournament, losing two games in extra innings. Drury reached the championship game in 2023.
