PERU, Ind. – Drury men's golf completed the first two rounds of the Midwest Collegiate hosted by UMSL on Monday. The Panthers ended the day in third place out of 17 teams.
The Panthers (587) trail the host UMSL (585) by two strokes for second place. Tiffin commands the field at 578. Tiffin's Mitchell Brassard and Hillsdale's Robert Thompson pace the field at four-under par.
Ellton Bostrom is leading Drury, shooting even par in the first three rounds. Bostrom is tied for fourth place.
Meyer Lively is tied for ninth with a +2.
Zach Carter is tied for 18th at +4, to put three Panthers inside the top 20.
HIGHLIGHTS
- As a team, Drury is the front runner in average strokes per par 3 with a 3.20. The Panthers also lead the field in par 5s with a 4.78.
- Three Panthers are in the top five of average strokes on par 3s. Ellton Bostrom (2.75) is first followed by Meyer Lively and Gaige Lewis, who both are averaging 3.13.
- Bostrom and Lively are both averaging 4.63 on par 5s, tied for fifth best in the field.
- Lewis is fifth in the field with nine total birdies.
