Lady Panthers Seek Seventh Straight Win Saturday vs. Quincy

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury University Homecoming takes place Saturday, February 7, as the Lady Panthers take on Truman State at 1 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
Both Drury and Truman State bring long winning streaks to extend on Saturday. The Bulldogs have won five straight, and the Lady Panthers six.
 
Fans may follow the action through the GLVC Sports Network (subscription required), where games will be streamed live throughout the regular season. New for the 2025-26 academic year, viewing access to GLVC regular season and postseason broadcasts will be available via monthly subscription ($30) or annual subscription ($140). Single-event access can also be purchased for $15. All Drury Lady Panthers games will also have free live audio coverage on DU All-Access.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Drury is 24-1 all-time against Truman State and has never lost in Springfield, 19-0.
  • Kaci Bailey is 5-0 in her Drury tenure against the Bulldogs.
 
STORYLINES
  • The Lady Panthers sit one game out of first place in the GLVC with a 12-2 record behind 13-1 UMSL.
  • This season, the Lady Panthers are 11-1 with a lead at intermission. Their lone loss was game two of the season at Saginaw Valley State.
  • Drury has made more threes than their opponents in 11 games this season, and they hold a 10-1 record in those games.
  • When the Lady Panthers beat their opponents to 70 points this season, Drury is 9-0.
  • Drury is 8-2 at home this season, 6-1 in GLVC play. Truman is 7-3 on the road this season.
  • Drury has been able to pull out close games all season. In games decided by ten points or less, the Lady Panthers are 9-4. In ones decided by five or less are 6-1.
  • As a team, Drury is 19th in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage, shooting 44.3% as a team.
  • In the nation, the Lady Panthers are third in three-point percentage with a 38.2%.
  • Sara Mendel recorded her 15th double-double of the season against Quincy on Thursday. She is not second all-time in Lady Panthers history. It was also her fourth 20-point double-double of the season.
  • Mendel is third in the country in field goal percentage with a 67%.
  • The only player to average a double-double in the GLVC is Sara Mendel. She is scoring 15 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
  • Rhi Gibbons extended her double-figure scoring streak to 25 games with 13 points against Quincy.
  • Kaylee King has extended her made free throw streak to 26.
  • The starting lineup of Kaylee King, Rhi Gibbons, Jazz Gray, Sage Stratton, and Sara Mendel is now 7-0 this season.
  • Truman State has won five straight games, with its three most recent coming against three of the bottom four teams in the GLVC (Southwest Baptist, Rockhurst, and William Jewell).
  • The Bulldogs are the number two scoring offense in the GLVC, averaging 70.7 points per game. The Lady Panthers are third at 70.6 points per game.
  • On the boards, Truman is the sixth-worst team in the GLVC, averaging only 35.4 rebounds per game.
  • Emajin McCallop is the only Bulldog averaging more than ten points per game. She is scoring 14.7, the fourth best in the GLVC.
