INDIANAPOLIS – Drury University women's basketball legend Hailey Diestelkamp has been selected to the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Hall of Fame, the league announced Wednesday, March 11.
One of the most decorated student-athletes in GLVC and NCAA Division II history, Diestelkamp becomes only the second individual associated with Drury to earn induction into the conference's Hall of Fame, joining former Lady Panthers head coach and player Molly (Carter) Miller, who was inducted in 2014.
Diestelkamp is one of four members of the GLVC's 2026 class, which also includes Bellarmine men's basketball standout Braydon Hobbs, Quincy women's basketball player Jessica Keller, and longtime SIU Edwardsville softball and volleyball coach Sandy Montgomery. The class will be honored at the GLVC Spring Awards Reception on May 19 at the Drury Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri.
Diestelkamp's induction adds another milestone to a career that helped define one of the most dominant eras in Drury women's basketball. A cornerstone of the Lady Panthers from 2016-20, she led Drury to four consecutive GLVC Tournament championships, four NCAA Midwest Regional appearances, two regional host bids, and an undefeated 32-0 season in 2019-20. During her four years, Drury went an astonishing 128-8 and never lost a GLVC Tournament game, finishing 12-0 with Diestelkamp earning three Tournament MVP honors.
Her individual accomplishments place her among the greatest players the GLVC has ever produced. Diestelkamp is Drury's all-time leader in scoring (2,321 points) and rebounding (1,101), becoming the first player in program history to surpass both 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. She owns the GLVC and Drury single-game scoring record with 53 points, recorded the two highest scoring games in Drury history, and produced three of the five highest scoring games ever in the GLVC. Nationally, she finished her career ranked 24th all-time in NCAA-II scoring and became just the sixth player in Division II history to reach 2,300 points and 1,100 rebounds.
Diestelkamp's dominance was recognized at every level. She was a two-time NCAA Division II National Player of the Year, earning the honor from both the WBCA and D2CCA in 2018-19 and again in 2019-20. She was a two-time First Team All-American, a three-time First Team All-Midwest Region selection, a four-time All-GLVC honoree, and the 2019-20 GLVC Player of the Year. She also earned three selections to the NCAA Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team, including MVP honors in 2019, and was twice named the NCAA-II National Player of the Week.
Her excellence extended into the classroom, where she built an academic resume as impressive as her athletic one. A Psychology major, Diestelkamp earned a 3.65 GPA in her final semester and was named a CoSIDA Academic All-American, a two-time Academic All-District selection, and a multi-year Academic All-GLVC honoree. In 2020, she received the GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's basketball and the league's highest honor, the Richard F. Scharf Paragon Award, recognizing the top overall female student-athlete in the conference.
Diestelkamp was inducted into the Drury Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the 2025-26 class, and her selection to the GLVC Hall of Fame further solidifies her place among the most influential figures in the history of Lady Panthers basketball. With the induction of the Class of 2026, the GLVC Hall of Fame will expand to 103 members since its establishment in 2002.
