COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Division Two Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) announced its women's basketball All-Midwest Region teams on March 12. Drury's Sara Mendel earned second-team honors.

Mendel averaged 15.9 points and 10.1 rebounds during the regular season. She shot 67.9 percent from the field during the season, leading NCAA Division II. Mendel finished the regular season leading the Midwest region in double-doubles with 19, a Lady Panther single-season record. On the defensive end, Mendel blocked one shot per game on average and grabbed 6.9 defensive rebounds per game. She was the GLVC's player of the week three times this season and earned first-team all-GLVC honors.

In the two postseason games the Lady Panthers played, Mendel averaged 18 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 2 steals per game, including a 20-point double-double against Truman State. Her performance in the GLVC Tournament earned her a spot on the all-tournament team.

The GLVC had three players earn either first or second-team honors, including Mendel. The league's player of the year, Mara Rieder from UMSL, was named to the first team, and McKendree's Baylie Parks was voted to the second team. Northwood's Maeve St. John was voted as the region's player of the year.

Drury's season ended in the conference semifinals against the eventual tournament champions, Maryville. The Lady Panthers were 21-8, their 13th consecutive 20-win season.
