SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Tournament tips off for the third-seeded Lady Panthers on March 6 against seventh-seeded Truman State, as Drury is in quest of their 11th GLVC Tournament Titles.
Drury will face Truman State in the quarterfinals. The Lady Panthers and Bulldogs have met twice this season, with Drury coming away with both meetings. Drury won those two meetings by an average of eight points.

SERIES HISTORY
- The Lady Panthers are 25-1 against Truman State, dating back to Dec. 7, 2002, the first time the two programs met.
- Drury has won seven straight games.
- Kaci Bailey is 6-0 against Truman in her Drury tenure.
- The two programs have only played once at a neutral site, that being in the 2018-19 GLVC Tournament in Edwardsville, Illinois. Drury won the semifinal game 85-60 en route to their third of seven straight championships.
- Since Truman State joined the GLVC in the 2013-14 season, Drury and Truman have played only twice in the conference tournament, the 2018-19 semifinal and then the 2020-21 championship game that the Lady Panthers won 76-60 in Springfield.
STORYLINES
- The Lady Panthers enter the tournament as the three-seed after dropping the regular season finale at Missouri S&T. The Bulldogs worked their way to the seven seed with two wins to end the regular season.
- Drury has reached 20 wins for the 13th consecutive season and 23rd time in the program's 26-season history.
- The Lady Panthers finished the regular season as the second-highest scoring offense (73.3 points per game) only behind McKendree (73.9). Truman State (70.5) was third in the regular season.
- Truman State and Drury are nearly giving up identically points per game in the regular season, Drury (64.9) and Truman (65.3).
- The Lady Panthers have the defensive edge in opponent field goal percentage. Lady Panther opponents are just shooting 39.7% compared to the Bulldogs 42.0%, the second-highest in the GLVC.
- Drury's 38.1% from behind the three-point line finished the regular season as the second-highest in NCAA Division II; only Tampa (39.8) is ahead of the Lady Panthers.
- The Lady Panthers guard the three-pointer well, too, only allowing opponents to shoot 26.3% this season from distance. Drury has held two different opponents this season to zero makes from beyond the arc.
- Truman State forces 17.5 turnovers per game, fourth best in the GLVC. Drury only turns the ball over 13.4 times per game, the third fewest in the GLVC.
- Drury is shooting 45.4% from the field this season, ninth best in NCAA-II.
- Sara Mendel leads the nation in field goal percentage with a 67.9%. Mendel also ranks nationally in double-doubles (fifth, 19), total rebounds (20th, 273), and rebounds per game (17th, 10.1).
- Entering the postseason, Mendel is one of two players in the Midwest region who are averaging a double-double. Mendel averaged 15.9 points and 10.1 rebounds. The other player is Jenna Slates from Ashland. She averaged 16.1 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.
- Mendel has moved up the Lady Panthers' season record ranks. She is sixth in single-season rebounds (273), only 13 behind Alana Findley's 2021-22. Only 20 Lady Panthers in program history have scored at least 475 points in a season; Mendel is 45 points away from that mark.
- Rhi Gibbons enters the weekend nine points shy of her 900th career point.
- Kaylee King needs just eight points to eclipse the 300-point total for the season.
- King is 12th in the GLVC in assists per game with 2.5.
- The trio of Mendel, Gibbons, and King were all voted to the all-conference teams announced this week. Mendel earned first-team and all-defensive team. Gibbons was on the first team for the second consecutive season, and King was on the second team for the first time.
- When leading at halftime and to start the fourth quarter, the Lady Panthers are 16-1 this season.
- The Lady Panthers have only recorded 146 steals this season, the fewest in a season for the program, which is 165. In the four games in which Drury has recorded more steals than their opponents, they are 4-0.
- In games that Drury shoots at least 70% from the free-throw line, they are 14-0.
- The Lady Panthers like to control the pace of the game and run. Drury is 16-1 in games where they score more fast-break points than their opponents.
- Drury is 11-0 in games they score at least 80 points this season, and also 11-0 in games they hold opponents under 60 points.
- Drury has reached 70 points before their opponents in 14 games this season, winning all of them.
- In the last five games of the regular season, the Bulldogs went 3-2 with two wins to close the season.
- In the final game of the season, Truman only beat William Jewell by five points.
- Truman is one of the best teams at not sending their opponents to the free-throw line. The Bulldogs are only fouling 14 times a game, the second fewest in the GLVC behind UMSL (13.3).
- Emajin McCallop is fourth in the GLVC in scoring. She is averaging 15.1 points per game. McCallop also earned first-team all-GLVC honors.
- Morgan Miller has attempted the fifth most three-pointers in the GLVC this season, 163 or 6 per game. She is only making 1.85 per game.
- Drury must win three games in three days to earn their 11th GLVC Tournament Title. The Lady Panthers have the most titles in GLVC history with 10 in 20 appearances.
- As a third seed in the GLVC, Drury is 3-3. While playing in the conference in St. Louis, the Lady Panthers are 1-1.
- While in the quarterfinals, the Lady Panthers are 15-3 all-time in the GLVC Tournament.
- Last season, the three-seed won the tournament, so the precedent is set for a team to win three games in three days.
- The Lady Panthers are 8-1 against the GLVC field this season; their only loss was to Maryville.
