SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Five Drury baseball standouts have been selected for 2026 Academic All-District^® honors by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday. The 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by the CSC membership, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. 

Headlining Drury's contingent, senior outfielder Connor Bain earned his third straight CSC Academic All-District honor, while sophomore infielder Jackson Crider was honored by the CSC for the second year in a row. Additionally, junior infielder Colin McClure, junior outfielder Greydon Miller and senior pitcher Nick Panagos earned the first CSC Academic All-District honors of their Drury careers.

Nominees for CSC Academic All-District honors must maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Bain was a First-Team D2CCA All-Midwest Region selection as an outfielder this spring after hitting a team-best .406 with 10 home runs and a Drury single-season record 68 runs batted-in. The Troy, Ill., product batted .444 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play and totaled 25 multi-hit and 17 multi-RBI performances overall for the Panthers. He earned All-GLVC honors for a third consecutive season after the league's coaches tabbed him for first-team recognition. Bain concluded his DU career ranked among the Panthers' all-time leaders in walks (2nd), runs scored (3rd), steals (4th), hits (5th), doubles (5th and home runs (5th) and was voted as Drury's Dr. Edsel Matthews Award winner as the Panthers' top graduating male student-athlete.

Crider earned his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District nod and was a repeat All-Midwest Region choice of the ABCA and D2CCA after earning first-team honors in 2025. The redshirt sophomore batted .395 with nine home runs and 54 RBIs in 53 games this season. Crider led the conference in hit by pitches (28) and ranked sixth among all GLVC hitters in on-base percentage (.506) and runs scored (64). The San Antonio native owns the top Drury career marks for batting (.414), OBP (.527) and slugging (.633) and ranks fifth with his 20 home runs as a Panther. He put together a 15-game hit streak earlier this season and led the club with 18 multi-RBI performances.

McClure earned a spot on the CSC's Academic All-District team following a strong debut season with the Panthers in which he hit .329 with five home runs and 33 RBIs. McClure started 48 of Drury's 53 games, primarily helping anchor the infield as the Panthers' second baseman. The Mt. Vernon, Ill., native was nearly flawless in the field, turning in a .989 fielding percentage with just two errors in 179 total defensive chances. He also logged 11 multi-hit and 11 multi-RBI performances and ended the season on a seven-game hit streak.

Miller recorded a memorable 2026 campaign at the plate after being sidelined due to an injury last spring. The Ozark, Mo., native batted .371 with three homers and 54 RBIs -- all career highs for the junior -- while starting 47 games for the Panthers. Miller totaled 23 multi-hit games and logged an 11-game hit streak earlier in the spring. He paced the club -- and ranked third among all GLVC hitters -- with his four triples and posted career-best totals for hits (66), runs scored (50), doubles (16), walks (21) and steals (8).

Panagos earned his first CSC Academic All-District citation after helping anchor the Panthers' starting pitching rotation with a 4-1 mound mark and 34 strikeouts over 41.1 innings spanning 15 total appearances. The St. Charles, Mo., product went 2-1 in GLVC play and established career highs for wins, appearances, innings pitched and strikeouts, making six starts and logging the first save of his Drury career as well.

Drury concluded the 2026 season with a 32-21 overall record, as well as a 22-10 GLVC mark to tie for third place in the conference's regular-season standings.
