INDIANAPOLIS – Gaige Lewis' record-tying sixth career tournament under par led Drury men's golf to a sixth-place finish at the UIndy Fall Invitational.
 
The 54-hole tournament was played at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis on a course measuring 6,904 yards. The event featured 17 teams from 16 schools, including five from the GLVC.
 
McKendree won the team title at 27 under. Davenport (-25) and Hillsdale (-17) rounded out the top three. Drury (-13) placed sixth, just behind Ferris State (-14) and ahead of Maryville (-12).
 
Davenport's Cayden Kwan (-13) won the individual title, edging McKendree's Simon Meiby (-12) and Maryville's William Cartier-Watchorn (-11). Lewis (-5) led Drury with a tie for 11th. Meyer Lively (-3) was the Panthers' second-highest finisher, tying for 16th.
 
TOURNAMENT NOTES

• Four of Drury's five players finished under par, marking the first time in the Bryan Daniels era that four or more Panthers shot under par in the same event.
• Drury's team total of 851 was the lowest 54-hole score in the Daniels era.
• The Panthers led the field in par-3 scoring average at 3.02.
• On par 5s, Drury averaged 4.80 strokes.
• Quinn Thomas (2.75) and Ellton Bostrom (2.92) ranked in the top 10 for par-3 scoring average.
• Lewis averaged 3.93 strokes per par 4.
• Lewis led all players with two eagles, both in the third round.
• Lewis' five-under finish tied the program record with his sixth career tournament under par.
• Bostrom (-2) recorded his fifth career tournament under par.
• Lively (-3) and Thomas (-1) each posted their first career tournaments under par.
• Drury's second-round 281 was the third-lowest team round in program history. All three rounds ranked among the program's top 20 lowest.
