AT DRURY...
CAREER
Ended his career by breaking the school record in the 50 Free with a first place finish and was on two national record breaking relays teams, the 400 Free Relay and the 200 Free Relay . . . Was on three National champion 200 Free Relay teams and two National champion 400 Free Relay teams. 

SENIOR
The Drury MVP of the National Meet, Nick claimed the National title in the 50 Free in a time of 19.75 to break the Drury school record and also placed second in the 100 Free (43.54) . . . Nick was on two national record breaking relay teams also, the 200 Free Relay (1:19.00) and the 400 Free Relay (2:54.37) . . . Was on the fourth place 200 Medley Relay team that broke the school record with a time of 1:27.79.

JUNIOR
Nick was on two national championship relay teams in 2013 with the 200 Free Relay (1:19.31) and the 400 Free Relay (2:55.26) ...Also placed fourth in the 200 Medley Relay (1:28.36) and was ninth in the 50 Free (20.19).

SOPHOMORE
Nick had a very good sophomore season for the Panthers and was on the National Champion 200 Free Relay team (1:19.77). . . Was also on the sixth place 200 Medley Relay team (1:27.77). . . He competed in three events as an individual with his highest finish coming in the 50 Free where he placed 16th.

FRESHMAN
Freshman who placed 17th in the 50 Free, was 29th in the 200 Free and 30th in the 100 Free at Nationals. . . Was on the third place 200 Free Relay team at Nationals that broke a Drury team record with a time of 1:20.28.

PREP...
Nick was a Junior National Qualifier in the 50 and 100 Free and has posted top times of 21.10 in the 50 and 47.49 in the 100. . . Was the Arkansas State Champion in the 50 Free and placed second in the 100 Free. . . McCarthy helped Little Rock Catholic High School to a State runner-up finish and was a member of the eighth place 4x100 Free Relay Team at the NCSA Junior Nationals. . . Was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with a 3.8 grade point average.
