PERSONAL...Son of Anthony and Karen Clay.AT DRURY...
FRESHMANTrevor played in 29 games for the Panthers and scored a season high 13 points at Maryville on January 22nd. . . Had 10 points vs. Truman State on January 29th and 10 points vs. Bellarmine with three-3 pointers on January 10th . . . Trevor grabbed a season best six boards twice, those coming in games vs. Truman State and at Missouri S&T on December 6th . . . Clay had four assists in three games on the season and 46 on the year and had two steals in four games with 15 for the season.
PREP/PREVIOUS SCHOOL...Clay is a 6-foot-2 guard who played this past season for Edwardsville (Ill.) High School after spending his first three seasons at College Crossroads Prep in St. Louis, where he averaged 18.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game as a junior and started all three seasons, including averages of 16.8 points and 5.2 rebounds as a sophomore. . . He averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3.5 assists this past season for Edwardsville, which finished 30-4 and fourth in the Class 4A state tournament with a squad that featured two other college basketball signees and a college football recruit in the starting lineup . . . Earned First Team All-Conference honors twice and Second Team All-Conference honors twice . . . Earned Honorable Mention All-State honors in 2014. . . Clay picked the Panthers over Great Lakes Valley Conference rival Southern Indiana, and was also receiving interest from NCAA Division I Eastern Illinois, among others. . . "I just feel like Drury was a great fit for me," Clay says. "I like the business program there, I really like the coaching staff, the players returning and the new ones coming in, and I think it's just going to be a great four years for me." . . Drury coach Steve Hesser agrees. . . "We believe Trevor can be an athletic, combo guard who has the ability to score from several spots on the floor," Hesser said of the Honorable Mention All-State selection who plays AAU ball with the Gateway Basketball Club. . .
