Hit .377 for his career which tied Nick Thimesch for the best career batting average all-time by a Panther and also is the career slugging percentage leader at .610 and has the top career on base percentage for a Panther (.488) . . . Had 18 homers good for third all-time at Drury and had 146 hits, 109 RBIs which is sixth all-time, 75 runs, 40 walks and 32 career doubles. . . Also stole 5-of-7 bases. . . Senior season earned First Team All-Midwest Region (NCBWA) National College Baseball Writers Association and First Team All-GLVC honors. . . Also named third team Academic-All American by Capital One . . . Junior season Luke earned ABCA Midwest Region Second Team honors and was a Daktronics Second Team All-Midwest Region honoree while being named a First Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection and twice earning GLVC Player of the Week

Tewes broke the Drury school record for most RBIs in a season (62) which also led the GLVC and led the conference in RBI's per game at 1.11 . . . Luke transfers to Drury from Iowa Western Community College and played his highschool ball for Waverly High School in Lincoln, Nebraska . . . Helped Iowa Western to a 45-14 record last season and hit .300 in 110 at-bats, with four homers, 30 RBIs and scored 26 runs for national power Iowa Western as a designated hitter and first baseman . . . Carried a 1000 fielding percentage with 207 putouts at first base for Western . . . Iowa Western finished the season ranked 10th in the nation and were ranked first for a time during the season . . . Top game was a 2-for-4 game with two homers vs. Muscatine on April 7 . . . Won post graduate batting title with a .478 batting average at IMG Baseball Academy in Bradenton, Florida . . . He was First Team All-Conference selection at Waverly for both baseball and basketball.
