AT DRURY
2018-19
Taylor redshirted for the Panthers during the 2018-19 season. Grant placed in two tournaments during the season placing 4th at the Dan Harris Open and 4th at the Drury Open. Taylor used his Spring semester to study abroad in Greece while studying Architecture.
2017-18
After an outstanding true freshman season in 2016-17, Grant returned to the mat at 165 lbs posting a 16-19 record going 6-8 in duals for the 2017-18 season. Taylor helped Drury to dual meet victories against Univ. of the Ozarks, Truman State and UCM. Grant narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships as he made it to competition on the 2
nd day at the NCAA Division II Super Regional Championships. Grant was named to the
NWCA All-Academic Team for his outstanding performance in the classroom.
2016-17
Grant wrestled for the Panthers in 2016-17 in the
165lb weight class...Taylor place 4
th at the Pat “Flash” Flanagan Open and wrestled for the Panthers at the NCAA-II Super Regionals.
HIGH SCHOOL
Grant was a four-time State medalist and four-time All-Conference selection while at Clinton High School...He posted a career record of 180-26 and was 50-4 his senior season with 35 wins by pin and 5 by Tech Fall...Was a two-time Brute Nationals Champion and a four-time Brute All-American...Helped Clinton to a second place finish at conference and a twelfth place finish at State.
