Joan won the national title in the 500 Free (4:20.08) and was a third place finisher in the 200 Free…During the regular season, he broke the Breech Pool record in the 200 Free (1:37.13) and set a new Drury team record in the 200 Free (1:30.05)…Broke three individual record at the GLVC meet, those coming in the 500 Free (4:21.56), the 1000 Free (9:04.62), and the 200 Free (1:35.05).

2016-17
Named the GLVC Swimmer of the Year...broke the Drury school record in the 200 Free with a time of 1:35.13…He claimed national titles for the Panthers in the 500 Free (4:18.64) and the 1650 Free (15:11.20)…Was runner-up in the 1000 Free and was on the runner-up 800 Free Relay team…Claimed GLVC titles in the 500 and 1650 Free and was on the GLVC championship 200 and 400 Free Relay teams…Named the PNC Men’s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the week by the Great Lakes Valley Conference for the week of January 24…That week Joan claimed three first place finishes vs. Missouri State, coming in the 500 and the 1000 Free, and a win in the 400 Free Relay.

High School
Joan took third place at the European Junior Championship in the 400 IM in 2014...He won the Spanish Nationals in the 400 meter in 2015...Helped his team break a national record in the 4x200 freestyle and the 4x100 freestyle.
