Mitchell had a breakout season at State Fair Community College batting .340 with 11 home runs, 11 doubles, two triples, and 49 RBIs in 53 games...Finished the season with two multi-home run games, including a seven-RBI game against Three River Community College in the second game of a double-header...Stole 10 bases and scored 47 runs, holding down a position in the middle of the order...At Mountain Grove High School he was a four year letterwinner that was named a Preseason Perfect Game All-Region selection and went on to collect All-Conference, All-District, and All-State honors...Finished his senior season with a .382 batting average in 29 games with 10 extra base hits  and 15 RBIs...Was ranked number 15 in Missouri at his position and number 36 player regardless of position in the state in 2015 Perfect Game...Also played four years of football and three years of basketball.
