Was injured in Drury's opening match and missed the rest of the season.

2017-18
Jacob, a redshirt freshman. Posted a 16-8 record on the season with a 7-5 dual meet record. Brune went 4-0 in at the Dan Harris Open, winning the tournament for the 2^nd time in as many years. Jacob also placed 6^th at the Kaufman-Brand Open and 8^th at the Midwest Classic. Brune narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Championships after having to medically forfeit out of the Super Regional Tournament. Jacob was named to the NWCA All-Academic Team for his outstanding performance in the classroom.
 
2016-17
Wrestled unattached as a redshirt…finished with a 12-4 record on the season…Brune, who wrestled in the 165lb and 174lb weight classes, placed 1^st Dan Harris Open…5^th at the Maryville/Kaufman Brand Open… 2^nd at the Roger Denker Open.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Jacob was a three-time Class 4 state qualifier and District 3 champion in the 160 lbs. class while at Jefferson City High School...Brune placed third in the 160 pound class in 2016 and was fifth in the 132 pound class in 2014 at the state finals...Placed sixth at the USA W Pre-Season Nationals in the 160 pound class...Posted 152 career wins and helped Jefferson City to a 42-1 dual team record from 2012-16 along with three district titles and a Class 4 second place finish at the state meet in 2016...named an Academic all-state selection.
