CAREER
Earned the Great Lakes Valley Conference honor as the Richard F. Scharf Paragon Winner in 2011, an award annually given to one male and one female student-athlete based on academic excellence, athletic ability and achievement, character and leadership...Senior season Jaime became only the third runner in GLVC history to win the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship for the fourth straight time in the 8K with a time of 24:41...Placed third in the NCAA-II Midwest Regional with a time of 31:03.05 which was the fastest time ever by a Panther in a 10K race... Was third at the Sean Earle Lakefront Meet with a time of 25:07....Helped the Panthers to their first ever NCAA-II National Championship and placed 16th in the 10K with a time of 31:13.4 earning All-America status....Junior campaign he was named the GLVC Runner of the Year and had the top 10K time in the GLVC for the season (32:29)...Jaime was the GLVC Fall Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second straight year and won the GLVC Championship for the second year in a row with a time of 25:00.93...Villa Zapatero placed second at the NCAA-II Midwest Regional hosted by Wisconsin-Parkside with a 10K time of 32:29...Jaime qualified for the NCAA-II National Meet for the second straight season and placed 51st (32:48)...He earned Academic All-GLVC honors for the third straight season and was named the GLVC Runner of the Week for September 22...Jaime also was named an USTFCCA Academic All-American...Sophomore season he was named the GLVC Scholar Athlete of the Year and was earned GLVC Runner of the Year honors...Was the 8K GLVC champion and finished with a time of 25:47.83...Placed second at the NCAA Regionals and earned Academic All-America honors...Turned in a best time of 24:49 in the 8K at the Harding meet and a top time in the 10K of 31:50 at the NCAA-II National meet where he placed 20th and earned All-American honors...Was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Freshman of the Year and earned Drury team honors at the newcomer of the year in 2007-08...Ran a season best 25:29 in the 8k at the GLVC Championship where he placed sixth... Ran a 32:15 in the 10k at the NCAA Regional meet...For track season he ran a 3:58 in the 1500 meter at the Hendrix meet and posted a 14:38 in the 5000 meter at the KU Relays.
