Career
Two time All- GLVC selection, First team as a senior and Second team as a junior, finished his career with 150 strikeouts, seventh best all-time at Drury, in 172.1 innings and made 95 appearances.  Is the all-time leader for career appearances with 95.  Austin racked up 11 career saves, which tied him for fourth best all-time at Drury and finished with a 4.86 ERA during his time as a Panther.  Tied for eight most wins all-time by a Drury pitcher with 15 and finished his career with a 15-15 record.

2019
Austin, a First Team All-GLVC selection, had a team high four saves, tied him for third best in the GLVC and made 29 appearances and 53.1 innings of action with a team leading 60 Ks on the mound.  Had the fifth lowest ERA in the GLVC during the regular season with a 3.39 ERA and held batters to a .219 batting average, sixth lowest clip in the conference.  Allowed the second fewest hits among all GLVC pitcher (47) and Alex posted a season-high five strikeouts in games vs. Maryville and William Jewell and threw a season-high four innings vs. Quincy.  Austin finished with a 4-5 record on the 2019 season with wins against Southern Indiana, at Truman State, at UMSL, and at McKendree.

2018
Made 19 appearances and went 6-4 on the mound with a 6.20 ERA in his junior year…He had 36 strikeouts in 53.2 innings of action…Had a career-high seven strikeouts in a complete game 5-0 shutout win over Sioux Falls...saw time as both a starter and reliever...named to GLVC All-Academic team.

2017
Alex, a Second Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection, went 5-3 on the season with a 3.99 ERA in 49.2 innings…He made a season high 32 appearances and was the team-leader with six saves…Alex matched a career-high five strikeouts in the Panthers win over McKendree on February 24…Recorded three strikeouts at Central Missouri and at William Jewell…Threw a season-high 3.1 innings in games vs. McKendree and Bellarmine.

2016
Alex earned 15 appearances and threw 15.2 innings on the mound with 14 strikeouts. . . Recorded a season best five strikeouts and threw 3.2 innings vs. Southern Indiana on March 11. . . Recorded a save vs. Alderson Broaddus on March 19.

HIGH SCHOOL
A local product from Glendale High School, he was a first team All-Ozark Conference pitcher for the Falcons. . . As a junior, he was 1-3 with an ERA of 4.28 and a WHIP of 1.58. . . Austin was also Glendale's football quarterback, earning Second Team All-State honors at the position after passing for 4,084 yards and 40 touchdowns.. . . Graduated with a 4.8 grade point average and was a member of the National Honor Society.
