2019
Engel, a First Team All-GLVC selection and an Academic All-American, led the Panthers in the following categories: 70 hits, 61 RBIs, 12 homers, doubles (21), total bases (137), a .659 slugging percentage, 63 runs,
and tied for the team lead with 5 triples. Finished second on the team with 12 stolen bases (12-of-13). Finished in the top five among GLVC leaders for RBIs, runs, doubles, and slugging percentage. Engel set new single season Drury records for runs scored (63) and total bases (137), and tied school records for home runs (12), and doubles 21. His 61 RBIs was second most by a Panther for a single season. Had a career high four runs against Southern Indiana, and matched his career-high with three hits in a game six times during the 2019 season. Had a season-high four RBIs in games vs. William Jewell and Quincy...Named Academic All-GLVC.
2018
Earned Second Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors and led the Panthers with 57 hits, 79 total bases, and three triples…Tied for second on the team with 28 RBIs and 10 doubles…Hit .298 on the season with a .414 slugging percentage…Had an eight-game hitting streak March 14-24...Had a career-best five RBIs at Truman State, scored a career-high three runs vs.
UMSL, and had a career-best four walks vs. Rockhurst...named to GLVC All-Academic team.
2017
Played in 40 games while starting 35 at third and first base as a freshman…hit .303 on the 2017 campaign and recorded 37 hits, 22 runs, had 20 RBIs, and 20 walks…had three hits in games at Southwest Baptist, at William Jewell and vs.
Rockhurst…scored a season-high two runs in four games, those coming at Central Missouri, at William Jewell twice, and vs.
Rockhurst…recorded a season-best three RBIs in games at Southwest Baptist, at Quincy, and vs. Bellarmine…recorded a homer vs. nationally ranked Central Missouri.
HIGH SCHOOL
Engel was the Co-Player of the Year of the Central Ozark Conference Large Division and twice earned All-Conference honors for legendary coach Mike
Essick at Ozark...He joins a long list of former Tigers who have joined the DU program since its inaugural 2007 campaign...Helped Ozark to District titles in 2015 and 2016.
