Chris Gammon a Chandler, Arizona native joins the Panther coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2017-2018 season after dedicating his time as an assistant coach last season at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Arizona where he previously played.

A former reliever for Georgia College and State University (GCSU), Gammon made 54 appearances in his two seasons as a Bobcat, compiling 14 saves, good for second in school history and 67 strikeouts over his 70 1/3 innings. In 2015, he claimed the top spot as the Peach Belt Conference ERA leader with a 1.84 ERA and a 0.44 ERA in conference play. At GCSU, Gammon finished his career with a 1.95 ERA ranking second best in school history. His senior year he was honored as a member of the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team.

Before transferring to GCSU, Gammon played at Chandler-Gilbert Community College and at Corona Del Sol High school in Chandler, Arizona.
