Played at Nixa High School playing under head Howard Greenwood...During his junior year, he hit .273, with two doubles, a triple and an on base percentage of .377...On the mound, Dopp was 1-2 with a 4.57 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 29 innings...Joey threw a one-hitter while at Nixa High School and helped the Eagles to two District titles and two quarterfinal appearances...Was a four-year Academic letterman.
