Hit .307 for his career and isthe all-time Drury leader for RBIs for a season with 60 in 2013 and most total bases in a season with 125 also in 2013 .. . . Is the all-time leader at DU with a .577 slugging percentange and ranks second all-time with 20 homers, finishing just one behind career leads Tyler Goss's 21 . . . His 11 homers in 2013 set the single season record . . . Set the single season record for RBIs with 60. . . Ranks third all-time with nine career triples . . . Played in 105 games and started 102 with 111 hits in 362 at bats . . . Drove in 90 RBIs and scored 81 runs while posting 20 doubles and earning 43 walks . . . Stole 11-of-15 bases in his two seasons as a Panther . . . Also pitched in 2012 making five appearances and throwing five innings.

Became the first All-America selection in the Panthers program's seven-year history when he was named to the Daktronics All-America Second Team  . . . A Second Team All-GLVC West Division selection, Matt tied the single season school record with nine homers on the season and had two homers in games at Illinois-Springfield (4/7/12) and vs. William Jewell (4/14/12). . . Was fifth in the GLVC for homers and 69th nationally. . . Led DU with a .542 slugging percentage and was the team leader for runs (38), triples (4) and was third on the team with 30 RBIs. . . Had seven RBIs and a season high three hits at Illinois-Springfield (4/7/12) which was second most ever by a Panther in a game. . . Scored a season high three runs twice, those coming in games vs. William Jewell (5/1/12) and vs. William Jewell (4/14/12). . . Posted seven doubles with two vs. Saint Joseph's (3/17/12). . . Was walked 21 times with a season high three at Missouri-St. Louis (5/6/12). . . Stole three bases. . . Hit .271 with 42 hits and  a .382 on base percentage. . . Also saw some action on the mound for the Panthers. . . Threw five innings and made five appearances. . . Struck out a batter in games vs. Washburn (2/24/12) and vs. Augustana (3/11/12).

PREP/PREVIOUS SCHOOL...
Is a Western Kentucky University transfer who played his high school ball at Parkway Central in Chesterfield. . . Was on the Sun Belt Conference All-Academic Team. . . As a sophomore at Western Kentucky he played in 21 games for the Hilltoppers in 2010, making nine starts. . . Tallied six hits, including a pair of doubles, and scored five runs. . . Logged most of his innings as a designated hitter but also made one start in left field. . . Started as the DH on February 20 against Bowling Green State and went 4-for-4 with two runs, a double and an RBI. . . The four hits were a career high. . . Drew a pair of walks and a double in a start against Vanderbilt. . . Saw action in seven SBC games including a start against FAU in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. . . Freshman season at WKU he played in 48 games for the Hilltoppers in 2010, making 15 starts. . . Five of his starts came against conference opponents. . . Named to the Missouri All-State Second Team as a senior in 2009, hitting .432 with seven home runs, 33 RBI, 12 doubles and 24 runs scored. . . Made 10 relief appearances on the mound as a senior, earning three saves and posting a 1.20 ERA. . . was a member of the St. Louis Pirates summer team that won a Perfect Game National Championship and finished the season as the 8th-ranked 18U team in the country. . .
