Michael is a transfer from Mineral Area Community College and played his high school ball at Eureka High School. . . He led Mineral Area with a .369 batting average in 2009. . . Michael hit .499 with 15 RBIs and three homers in 2010 before he was injured and had shoulder surgery. . . He hit .486 in Metro Collegiate Summer Ball in 2008 which was the second best batting average in the league. . . Michael was a First Team All-Conference Infielder his sophomore season and hit .449 and earned MSHBCA All-State Honorable Mention honors. . . Helped Eureka win Districts his sophomore season. . . After missing his junior season with a shoulder injury he played senior Legion ball in 2007 and hit .515 and was the Eureka team MVP.
