Zach made four appearances and threw 2.2 innings with an inning each vs. Lewis (3/15/15) and at Saint Joseph's (3/22/15). . . Akins recorded a strikeout vs. Lewis.

PREP/PREVIOUS SCHOOL...
Zach earned First Team All-Conference honors and All-District honors in 2010 and 2011 and set the single game strikeout record (18) in a seven inning game for Crane High School. . . Zach was 3-4 with a 3.70 earned run average and 33 strikeouts as a junior, after transitioning from an infielder to pitching full-time. . . The 6-2, 210-pound right-hander will be a pitcher for the Panthers. . . Helped Crane claim a 2011 SWCL title in baseball and basketball and a basketball state chamionship in 2011. . . Graduated with a 3.6 grade point average and was an Academic All-American.
