Sophomore Reily "OC" O'Connor was the first captain in Panthers history when he was given that recognition as a Freshman in 2022. A native of East Grand Rapids, MI, Reily began playing hockey at the age of 3 and spent his final two season of high school at Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, VT before playing one season of junior hockey with the Philadelphia Little Flyers in the EHL.

The biology major lists genetics as his favorite class and his academic prowess began early as a High Honors and Dean's List member in high school.

Although he has broken his femur twice playing hockey over the years, it hasn't stopped Reily from high athletic achievements as well, including state runner-up his senior year of high school in Vermont and was named All-Conference in baseball while at Vermont Academy.

He admires New York Islander forward Zach Parise on the ice and actor Adam Sandler off the ice and is a fan of Tik Tok.

Reily's parents are Patrick and Michelle and he has three siblings, Aidan, Kailee and Aoife.
