Gassama drew starting assignments in each of the Panthers’ first two games of the season at the GLVC/G-MAC Conference Challenge (Nov. 14-15), averaging 15.5 minutes and 2.5 boards...blocked a career-best four shots and scored five points vs. Ecclesia (Nov. 19)...scored a season-high six points and grabbed four rebounds against Ozark Christian (Nov. 22).

2024-25
Played in six games in his first season with the Panthers...averaged 2.8 points and 3.8 rebounds...made his Drury debut on Dec. 16 vs. Central Christian...scored a season-high seven points vs. Central Christian on Dec. 16...had a season-high five rebounds on three occasions. 

PRIOR TO DRURY
Spent three years at NCAA Division I Pepperdine...saw action in 22 contests, including seven starts, as a sophomore in 2023-24...averaged 1.0 point and 1.6 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game...missed half of the 2022-23 season due to a passport issue … played in five games, scoring four points in his season debut against Saint Mary’s (Jan. 19)… averaged 1.4 minutes per game...redshirted the 2021-22 season.

HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from De Smet Jesuit High School in St. Louis ... rated as a three-star recruit by 247 Sports...played four years of varsity basketball ...averaged 11.6 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.4 blocks as a senior...earned all-district and All-Metro Catholic Conference second-team honors ...set a school record as he went 17-for-20 from the foul line in one game...helped De Smet win the Class 5 District 7 championship in 2021 ...averaged 7.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks as a junior...averaged 9.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.6 blocks as a sophomore...also attended the Saint Louis Christian Academy.
