Ben Fisher will enter his sixth season as an assistant men's basketball at Drury in 2022-23. In his five seasons on the Panthers bench, Drury has posted a 83-56 record, a 55-36 mark in the GLVC, and they have advanced to the NCAA-II tournament twice.
In the last five years, Drury has also produced seven All-GLVC players, five All-Defensive team selections, two All-Freshman picks, and guard Conley Garrison was named to the All-Midwest Region team in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Fisher played four seasons for Drury from 2012-15 and was a member of three NCAA-II tournament teams, two GLVC championship squads, and the 2013 NCAA-II National Championship team. He graduated from Drury in 2015 with a degree in Sports Management and spent the next two years as Drury University's director of intra-murals while he completed a Master's degree in Education.
Fisher hit five three-pointers while going 7 for 8 from the field as part of a 19-point game in a 77-70 win over Bellarmine in the 2015 GLVC championship game that gave Drury their third GLVC title. He finished his college career scoring in double-figures in five of his last six contests.
Fisher earned Academic All-Conference honors as a player as the Panthers had a four-year record of 97-28 during his time on the roster.
The son of former Drury University director of athletics, Mark Fisher, Ben signed with Drury out of Nixa High School where he was a three-year starter for the Eagles. Nixa went 70-15 during his time on the floor and won three Central Ozark Conference championships. During Fisher's senior season, the Eagles went 21-6, and he was named to the Bass Pro Shops All-Tournament of Champions team and was an All-Nixa Invitational Tournament selection.
Fisher was also the quarterback for a Nixa football team that went 9-4 and made the Class 5 state quarterfinals in 2009. He set school records for touchdown passes and was an all-district and All-COC selection in football.
In addition to duties as Drury's director of intra-murals during the last two years, Fisher has served as an analyst on Drury basketball radio broadcasts and co-hosted a sports podcast with Panthers broadcaster John Miller.
