Whatley played a key role in the Panthers’ 71-59 win over Thomas More (Nov. 15), pouring home a critical pair of three-pointers en route to a career-best eight-point, four-rebound performance...scored four points and matched a career high with two assists vs. Ecclesia (Nov. 19)...knocked down 2-of-5 three-point attempts to total six points in the Panthers’ win over Ozark Christian (Nov. 22).
2024-25
Played in eight games as a junior...scored five points, going 2-for-3 from the field and was 1-for-2 from three-point range...had a season-high three rebounds vs. Central Christian on Dec. 16.
2023-24
Played in 10 games in his sophomore season...had a season-high five points vs. Ozark Christian on Nov. 14...recorded a season-high three rebounds in two different games.
2022-23
Appeared in four games as a freshman, scoring two points on Dec. 1 at UMSL...also tallied two rebounds and one blocked shot.
HIGH SCHOOL
Joined the Panthers after earning First-Team All-Central Ozark Conference honors as a senior at Ozark High School...topped 1,000 career points for his career with the Tigers and averaged 17.6 points to go with 4.9 rebounds, three assists, and 1.5 steals...in addition to being named All-COC, he was an all-district selection and was named to the “Dominant Dozen” in the Springfield News-Leader’s list of the area’s top 12 players.
PERSONAL
Son of Dabney and T.J. Whatley...father played collegiate basketball at Kansas (1992-96)...majoring in biochemistry with a pre-med emphasis at Drury.
