SENIOR
Abernathy had a top time in 2014 of 26:45.71 with his second highest finish of the season a 59th at the GLVC Championships. . . Kevin's top finish was a 48th at the Missouri S&T Jackling Jocks Invite where he ran a 28:49.27. . . Kevin was 76th at the Kansas Rim Rock Classic with a 27:24.5.

JUNIOR
Placed 24th at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree and posted his top time in the 8K at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship (26:27).

SOPHOMORE
One of the top runners for DU, Kevin placed 29th at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships (26:10.20), was 31st at the Missouri State/Richard Clark Invitational (26:56) and was 35th at the Missouri S&T/Jackling Jocks Invite.

FRESHMAN
Had his best time of the season at the GLVC Championship where he was 59th with a time of 26:35.7. . . Placed 41st at the Missouri S&T Jackling Jocks Invite (27:06).

PREP...
Was an All-State selection for Class 4A for DeSmet High School and placed 16th at state his senior season. . . St. Louis Post Dispatch and St. Louis Track Club All-Metro Teams his senior season. . . Was the district champion for Missouri Class 4 District in 2010. . . Two-time First Team All-Metro Catholic Conference selection junior and senior seasons. . . Two-Time Most Valuable Runner in 2009 and 2010. . . Led the team to 15th and 16th straight appearances at the State Meet. . . Had a personal best in the 5K of 16:04 at the Nike Cross Nationals Midwest Regional in 2010. . . Ran for Coach Bryan Traughber at DeSmet. . . In Track and Field he was a two-time All-State selection in the 1600 Meter and was the anchor for the 4x800 Meter Relay team as a senior. . . Set a school record in the 1600 Meter in 2011 and earned the team's leadership award and was named most valuable runner in 2010. . . Team's Rookie of the Year in 2009 as a sophomore. . . Personal best in 1600 Meter in 4:16.6 and personal best in the 3200 Meter is 9:38. . . Earned Post-Dispatch DeSmet Jesuit High School honors, was a member of the National Honor Society and earned the George Washington Carver Award given to those in the top 10% of the class.
