Had a 76.1 career stroke average and shot his career low 68 at the Sandestin Collegiate Championship in the Fall of 2010. . . Senior season he made the Midwest/South Central Regional Tournament  where he tied for 19th. . . Claimed medalist honors at the Midwest Regional #1/GLIAC Championship Preview and shot rounds of 71, 70 for 141. . . Finished second at the Missouri Intercollegiate with a three round 219 to open the season and tied for second at the Illinois-Springfield Invitational. . . In 2010-11 Shawn had a pair of top 10 finishes, being the medalist at the Great Lakes Regional in the Panthers final fall tournament with a 73 and 69. . . SENIOR
Was the Panthers top golfer in 2011-12 and made the NCAA-II Midwest/South Central Regional as an individual where he tied for 19th with a three round 220 total. . . Claimed medalist honors at the Midwest Regional #1/GLIAC Championship Preview and shot rounds of 71, 70 for 141. . . Finished second at the Missouri Intercollegiate with a three round 219 to open the season and tied for second at the Illinois-Springfield Invitational. . . Shawn tied for fourth at the Drury/Pasta House Classic and tied for eighth at the MGA Regional Preview where he matched his season low with a round two score of 70. . . Tied for 11th at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships. . . Had a stroke average of 75 for the season.

JUNIOR
Had a pair of top 10 finishes on the season, being the medalist at the Great Lakes Regional in the Panthers final fall tournament with a 73 and 69. . . Was sixth in the spring at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship with a pair of 72
rounds. . . Tied for 15th at the Missouri Intercollegiate to open fall action and shot a career low 68 in the opening round of the Sandestin Collegiate Championship in the fall.

SOPHOMORE
Had his top finish of his sophomore season at the Illinois-Springfield Invite where he finished third and opened play with a round of 69. . . Tied for 10th at the Henderson State/Doyle Wallace Classic. . . Tied for 16th at The Shootout at Aguila and tied for 19th at the North Alabama Fall Classic where he shot an opening round 72.

PREP...
Vanderwal, a freshman from Kamloops, British Columbia, finished second in 2007 at British Columbia Match Play. . . Shawn finished third at the 2009 Rivershore Amateur and was the 2008 CCAA Individual champion. . . He tied for 12th at the 2008 CN Future Links Western and tied for 21st at the 2008 NC Future Links Pacific. . . Helped South Kamloops win the British Columbia championship. . . Qualified for the 2011 Canadian Amateur.
