Vera Johansson returns to the Drury coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2019-20 season. As a member of the coaching staff, she has been a part of three straight GLVC women's swimming & diving championships and three consecutive national runner-up squads.Â
Johansson was on the national record setting 200 Medley Relay team (1:38.78) and was also on the national champion 200 and 400 Free Relay teams while at Drury. She was on the national runner-up 400 Medley Relay team and also was on a 400 Medley Relay team that set a new Drury record (3:37.99). Vera was in six events at the 2016 NCAA-II national meet with four top ten finishes. As a freshman Johansson was on two national record breaking relay teams at Nationals, the 200 Medley Relay team (1:40.09) and the 200 Free Relay team (1:30.57).
