AT DRURY...
CAREER
Had an excellent Panther swimming career, placed fifth in the 200 IM and was ninth in the 200 Breast as a senior at Nationals...Was on the National Champion 400 Free Relay team his senior season that broke the naional record with a time of 2:56.46...Junior season he was ninth in the 200 Breast and placed 14th in the 100 Breast...Was on the third placed 200 IM Relay team his junior campaign.

SENIOR
Had a nice senior season with a fifth place finish in the 200 IM, a ninth place in the 200 Breat, 12th place in the 400 IM and 13th in the 100 Breast...On the National Champion 400 Free Relay team that broke the national record with a time of 2:56.46, third place 200 Free Relay team that broke a Drury record with a time of 1:20.28 and the fourth place 200 Medley Relay team that also broke a Drury team record with a time of 1:29.12.

JUNIOR
One of the Panthers most versatile swimmers, Gerrit was on the third place 200 IM Relay team and the fifth place 200 Free Relay...He was ninth in the 200 Breast and 14th in the 100 Breast.

SOPHOMORE
Placed 10th in the 200 Breast at the 2009 NCAA-II National Championship meet.

FRESHMAN
Was on the ninth place 200 Free Relay team at the 2008 national meet...Was on the 200 Medley Relay team that set a Drury team record with a time of 1:30.10.

PREP...
School record holder in the 100 Free and 100 Breast for Shawnee Mission Northwest High School...Was a First Team All-Sunflower League and all-county honoree...Placed third in the 100 Free and 100 Breast in 2007...Graduated with a 4.45 grade point average and in the top 10 percent of his class...Was a Kansas Honor Scholar.
