FRESHMAN
One of the Panthers top freshman swimmers, Matthew was fourth in the 100 Back, 13th in the 200 Back, 15th in the 100 Fly and 20th in the 200 IM...Also a key component on relays he was on the second place 400 Medley Relay team at Nationals that broke a Drury record with a time of 3:14.98.

PREP...
Was a seven-time all-american and a five-time state champion for Kickapoo High School in Springfield...Was the Missouri State Champion in the 100 Back and the 200 IM in 2008...Was the State champion in the 400 Free in 2006 and 2008 and was on the state champion 200 Medley Relay team in 2008...Kickapoo finished second at the state championships in 2008-09...Was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 25% of his class.
