Son of Dave and Julie Nichols.
AT DRURY...
SENIOR
Placed fourth in the 400 IM at the GLVC Championship meet. . . Recorded career best times of 1:50.93 in the 200 IM and a 1:49.11 i nthe 200 Back. . . Had a season best time of 4:01.44 in the 400 IM.
JUNIOR
Matthew had two of his top times at the UALR Christmas Invitational with a 1:50.40 in the 200 Back and a 3:58.74 in the 400 IM . . . Had a season best 1:52.48 in the 200 IM at the GLVC Championships.
SOPHOMORE
Posted top times of 46.14 in the 100 Free, 1:52.44 in the 200 IM and 4:01.26 in the 400 IM all coming at the Mizzou Invitational ... Also had a 1:54.56 in the 200 Back at the New South Conference Championships.
PREP...
A native of Oxford, Mississippi, Matthew holds the Mississippi State record in the 100 Breast, 2010 MHSAA State Champion in the 100 Free and 2009 MHSAA State Champion in the 200 IM.
