Was sixth in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase at the Missouri Southern State Bob Williams/Bill Laptad Invitational. . . Ran a 4:20.43 in the 1,500 Meter at the Pittsburg State/Wendy's Invitational Meet.

SOPHOMORE
Matt finished in the top 10 in all but one of his seven races in 2013 with his top finish of second in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase coming at the Pittsburg State/Wendy's Invitational (10:23.00) . . . He placed fifth at the St. Louis Billiken Invitational in the Steeplechase and had two seventh place finishes, one in the Steeplechase at the Missouri Southern State/Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational and one in the mile at the Mizzou Collegiate Challenge.

FRESHMAN
Placed second in the 3000 meter Steeplechase at the Harding/Bison Invitational (10:04.60) and was 11th in the 1500 meter at the Missouri S&T/Dewey Allgood Invitational (4:08.59). . . Was 15th in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase at the GLVC Outdoor Championship (10:05.92).

Was a three-time All-Conference and All-District runner in track and field and cross country for Liberty High School. . . Was a two-time state qualifier in the 1600 meter and in 2010 was the Class 4 District 8 Champion in the 1600 meter. . . Personal records were 4:22 in the 1600 meter, 9:46 in the 3200 meter and 16:07 in the 5000 meter. . . Helped Liberty to a second place finish in Class 4A at the State track and field meet in 2010-11 and third place in cross country in 2008. . . Excellent student who was the class valedictorian and member of the National Honor Society.
