Julinn Torres will enter her second year as a graduate assistant coach for the Drury softball program in 2019.
 
As part of the new coaching staff in 2018, Torres helped Drury to a 20-24 record, a 13-game improvement from the previous season. The team also produced a First Team All-GLVC selection for the first time since 2015 when outfielder Jacy Ummel was recognized by the league and second baseman Emily Stringer was named to the Second Team giving the Panthers multiple all-conference honorees for the first time in five years.
 
Torres came to Drury from LSU-Alexandria where she was a two-time NAIA All-American and the shortstop was named the Defensive Player of the Year in the Red River Athletic Conference. She was a First Team All-RRAC selection three times and earned Player of the Week honors eight times during her career. Torres helped LSU-A win a conference championship in all four of her seasons there in addition to a third place finish at the 2017 NAIA World Series, their best finish in program history. She was named a team captain in each of her four seasons with the Generals.
 
A native of El Paso, Texas, Torres attended J.M. Hanks High School. She graduated LSU-A with a degree in Criminal Justice in 2017 and is pursuing a Master's degree while coaching at Drury.
