Owens is a 5-6 guard from Russellville (Ark.) High School where she was a four-year standout and saw playing time with the varsity while in junior high...She averaged 12.4 points, 5 assists and 3 steals in her senior season for the Lady Cyclones...She's the school's career scoring leader with 1,314 points and helped Russellville reach the Class 6A state championship game as a senior...Also is the career leader for three-pointers made in a game (9) at Russellville...Was a three-time All-State Tournament team honoree and a two-time all-conference selection...Helped Russellville to a state runner-up finish, a #7 overall ranking in Arkansas and a top ranking in Class 6A...Also a member of the National Honor Society, was an Arkansas Scholar and a member of the Honor Roll.
