Coach Lien joins the Lady Panther basketball coaching staff this season and has a vast coaching resume' . . . Lien served as Head Coach at Wisconisn-Green Bay helping them transition from NCAA-I to NCAA-I . . . Lien helped UW-Green Bay to a Phoneix Invitational Tournament Championship . . . He was an assistant at Colorado State University and helped the Rams from a two win season to a third place finish in the Mountain West Conference . . . Richard also served as an assistant men's coach at Minnesota where he helped the Gophers to an NIT runner-up finish and coach NBA Hall of Famer Kevin McHale . . . Served as assistant coach for both Houston, where he helped the Cougars win a Southwest Conference title and also was an assistant at Southern Methodist University . . . He also coached overseas for the Czech Coal Aldast squad, Strakonice, Czech Republic team which was the women's first Professional League team . . . Coached the Oberwart Professional Basketball Club in Austria to a U-18 National Championship and Senior National Cup semifinalist . . . Head Coach for teams in Belgium, Denmark and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia . . . Was a consultant for the Split Professional Basketball Club in Croatia . . . Richard is a member of the University of Wyoming Hall of Fame Class of 2011.
