Kelly Frings will enter her second season on the Drury Lady Panthers coaching staff in 2017-18. She helped Drury to a 30-4 record, a 17-1 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, a GLVC-West division title and an appearance in the NCAA-II Sweet Sixteen in her first year as an assistant last year.
 
Frings joined Drury after two years on the coaching staff at NCAA-I Northern Illinois University. She spent the first season at NIU as a graduate assistant and was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations the following year while working for former Lewis head coach Lisa Carlsen. Frings was in charge of coordinating all aspects of team travel and community service outreach, along with video operations duties for the Huskies.

Frings played collegiately for Bradley University and graduated in 2014 with degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Pre-Law. As a forward for the Braves, she played in 111 career appearances despite an injury that ended her junior season. As a senior, Frings averaged 9.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game with a field goal percentage of .478. In her freshman season, Frings set the single-season record for three-point field goal percentage shooting .431 from behind the arc. Kelly was named to the Athletics Directors' honor roll six-times.
 
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Frings played high school basketball at perennial power Pius XI High School. She led the Lady Popes to a Division 1 state title in her senior year and was selected a Sporting News honorable mention All-American and a First Team All-State pick in Wisconsin.
 
Frings has also coached AAU teams with Wisconsin Basketball Academy / WBA Prestige and the Heart of Illinois.
