PREP...Sanayika Shields is a 6-1 post player from Olathe East High School and hails from Overland Park, Kan. . . She was a First Team Class 6A All-State choice this past season after averaging 12.5 points and 6.4 rebounds. . . Sanayika (pronounced "suh-neeka") - the daughter of former Kansas City Chiefs football star Will Shields - also has been a Kansas All-Stars team member, a Second Team All-Metro selection in the Kansas City area while playing for a team that was ranked No. 4 in Kansas and No. 3 in Class 6A. . . Helped Olathe East to a first place finish at Sub-State and a Glacier Tournament Championship. . . Olathe East had the best record in school history at 20-3 in 2010-11. . . Earned Glacier Edge All-Tournament Team honors and Olathe South Invitational All-Tournament Team honors. . . Was a Mid-America Nazarene University Champion of Character, a multiple athlete of the year for Olathe East and was named National Guard Most Outstanding Female Athlete. . .
