Daughter of Allin and Ruth Sorenson.
AT DRURY...
CAREER
Finished third, sixth, seventh and eleventh in the 400 IM at Nationals in her four seasons ... Had three top ten finishes in the 1650 Free at Nationals with a fourth her freshman season, sixth her sophomore season and an eighth her junior year.
SENIOR
Veteran who made a significant impact in 2013 and had two top ten finishes at Nationals with a sixth in the 400 IM (4:22.83) and a ninth in the 200 Fly (2:02.30) ... Was fouteenth in the 1650 Free and 23rd in the 1000 Free.
JUNIOR
Deanna had her best finish at the 2012 NCAA-II National meet in the 400 IM with a third place. . . She was eighth in the 1650 Free, came in 11th in the 1000 Free and was 20th in the 500 Free.
SOPHOMORE
Had a pair of top ten finishes with a sixth place finish in the 1650 Free and a eighth place finish in the 1000 Free. . . Was 11th in 400 IM and 17th in the 500 Free at the 2011 National meet.
FRESHMAN
One of Drury's top freshman and an important part of the NCAA-II women's National Championship team. . . Deanna had a top finish in the 1650 Free where she placed fourth. . . She was sixth in the 1000 Free and seventh in both the 400 IM and the 500 Free. . . She was a top eight finisher in four events at the NCAA-II National Championships and was a six-time All-American.
PREP...
Was the state champion in the 500 Free and on the state champion 200 Medley Relay team at Glendale High School. . . Glendale placed second at state her junior and senior seasons. . . Was a member of the National Honor Society.
