CAREER
Was fifth in the 1,500 meter at both the Pittsburg State/Wendy's Invitational and the GLVC Outdoor Championship her senior season . . . Her 4:49.76 in the 1,500 Meter at the GLVC Outdoor Championship meet was fourth fastest outdoor time by a Panther . . . Junior year she ran in the 800 meter at the Missouri Southern State/Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational and placed 17th (2:50.83) and ran the 800 at the Wichita State/K.T. Woodman Classic and placed 28th (2:28.51).
SENIOR
Ran in the mile and 1,500 Meter and had a second place finish in the 1,500 Meter at the Missouri Southern/Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational ... Was fifth in the 1,500 meter at both the Pittsburg State/Wendy's Invitational and the GLVC Outdoor Championship . . . Her 4:49.76 in the 1,500 Meter at the GLVC Outdoor Championship meet was fourth fastest outdoor time by a Panther . . . Her 5:31.98 in the mile at the GLVC Indoor Championship if the fifth best time ever at Drury.
JUNIOR
Ran in the 800 meter at the Missouri Southern State/Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational and placed 17th (2:50.83) and ran the 800 at the Wichita State/K.T. Woodman Classic and placed 28th (2:28.51).
SOPHOMORE
One of the Panthers top runners in 2011, Brenda won the 3,000 meter at the Mizzou Relays (10:47.40) and won the 1,500 meter at the Missouri S&T/Dewey Allgood (4:44.71). . . Finished fourth in the 800 meter at the Missouri Southern State/Bill Williams/Bob Laptad (2:17.46) and was fifth in the 1,500 meter at the GLVC Outdoor Championship (4:43.51).
FRESHMAN
One of the Panthers top women's runners, Brenda was second in the mile at the Pittsburg State Indoor Invitational and placed fifth in the 1,500 meter at the Pittsburg State/Gorilla Classic. . . Varela was on the sixth place 4x400 meter relay team at the GLVC Outdoor Championship.
