Spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Missouri State-West Plains...averaged 8.6 points per game as a freshman then 4.7 points as a sophomore...had a 27-point game during his career against Three Rivers...helped the Grizzlies to a 45-21 record through two seasons and the program was ranked as high as number 12 at the Division I level of the NJCAA...played the 2016-17 season for Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Massachusetts...A Springfield native, Thomas played for Kickapoo High School and was an All-Ozarks Conference performer as a senior...the Chiefs went 29-3 during his senior year and were the Class 5 state runner-up losing the title game to a Chaminade team that featured Jayson Tatum...averaged 12.2 points per game during his senior year...mother, Carolyn Fontleroy played for Missouri State and was part of the Lady Bears 2001 Final Four team....played AAU ball for Yanders Law.
