John was one of the Panthers top wrestlers in the 2016-2017 season, going 19-8 overall with 13 pins in the 184lb weight class… placed 1^st and the Dan Harris Open…3^rd at the Maryville/Kaufaman Brand Open…and 7^th at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis…John went 4-1 in dual meet matches…Oss also competed at the NCAA-II Super Regional where he defeated Jacob Green of Mary in the opening round.

HIGH SCHOOL
John was a two-time conference champion and was the 170 lb undefeated state champion his senior year for Ozark...Oss was a four-time state qualifier and was a three-time district finalist who won districts his senior season...John took fifth place in the 160 lb class as a junior...Posted a 179-37 career record while at Ozark going 55-0 his senior season, 50-10 as a junior, 40-14 as a sophomore and 34-13 as a freshman...Oss also is an excellent student who graduated with a 4.2 grade point average, was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
