Drury University Athletics

Karen Henson joined the Drury University athletics department in May of 2022 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. She will provide sports administrative oversight, as well as monitor and enforce rules for all of Drury’s 22 NCAA programs. 

In addition to her roles for Drury Athletics, Henson serves on the NCAA-II Midwest Regional committee for men's and women's tennis. She helped supervise the GLVC men's and women's tennis championships in 2024 and worked at the 2024 NCAA-II national championships in Altamonte Springs, Florida. 
 
Henson served fellow Great Lakes Valley Conference member Southwest Baptist in a similar role for 11 years. She was SBU’s Senior Woman Administrator, assisted in supervision for the department’s 16 sports, and provided oversight and academic support for more than 430 student-athletes. In addition to her compliance role at Southwest Baptist, Henson served as the NCAA-II regional advisor for men’s and women’s tennis for the last seven years.  
 
Henson is a Missouri State graduate and resides in Pleasant Hope. She has two children, Brock and Abby
