Robert Brucken is in his fourth season as head coach of the Drury women's lacrosse team.
In 2024, Brucken led the team to a 6-2-1 record. The Panthers started the season off with a four-game win streak, notably beating Missouri State twice, winning 14-2 in both meetings. The team reached the second round in the Central Plains Women's Lacrosse League (CPWLL) tournament.
Prior to his current coaching role, Brucken was the head coach at Ramapo College of New Jersey, building it into a very competitive program.
Brucken comes to Drury from New Jersey, where he has coached women's lacrosse at several levels. He started the Parsippany, NJ youth lacrosse program, served as the Girls' Head Lacrosse Coach at Parsippany High School, and was the Director for Evolution Lacrosse's Elite Program and Regional Director of T3 Cobra Elite.
Brucken earned a BS degree in Applied Management from Grand Canyon University. He also has his US Lacrosse Level 3 Certification. Brucken and his wife, Rebecca, have one daughter, Jordyn.
Women's lacrosse is one of seven new club sports Drury will launch in the 2022-23 academic year.
