Tim Garner

Tim Garner will enter his third year as the head coach for men's and women's tennis at Drury in the fall of 2025.

In the 2025 spring season, Garner produced five all-GLVC selections between both men's and women's programs, including the GLVC Player of the Year, Yaroslav Sharyy. Sharyy was also named the ITA Midwest Senior Player of the year.

The 2025 men's team went 13-6 and earned the program's third consecutive berth to the NCAA-II Tournament. The women's team also held a 13-6 record.

He joined the program just before the 2024 season and helped guide the men's team to a 16-5 record and an NCAA-II Tournament appearance. Garner also coached the women's team to a 13-7 mark and a 5-0 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

In Garner's, first season, the program produced three all-GLVC men's players, and three women's players voted to the all-conference team.

Garner returned to Drury after serving as an assistant with the Panthers from 2012-14. Since leaving Drury, he served as an instructor and coach at The Tennis & Athlete Foundry at Lake of the Ozarks in addition to owning and operating CrossFit Magic Dragon. Most recently, he was the head tennis pro at Frisco Community Tennis in Frisco, Texas.

As an assistant with the Panthers from 2012-14, Garner was a part of two men's conference championships, two women's league titles, and both the men's and women's teams reached the NCAA-II Tournament in all three seasons.
