McCarthy won the 50 Free against both NCAA Division I foes Missouri State (Thursday) and Mizzou (Saturday) in dual meets at the Breech Pool. His time against the Bears (20.18) set a new Breech Pool mark - breaking the longest-standing Breech record of 20.36, set in 1992 by Arkansas' Alan Ripley - the same night that he helped lead DU to a meet-clinching victory in the 400 Free Relay in the final event of the night.
